Q: |
Where is the Studio Located? |
A: |
The Studio is
on E 29th Street at the corner of 3rd Avenue in the Kips Bay area, Manhattan, NYC. |
Q: |
Do you bring your table to out calls? |
A: |
YES! I do all of my massage therapy on a table whether in the studio or at your home. |
Q: |
Do you use Cream, oil, powder? |
A: |
I use a
specifically formulated massage emulsion from grape seed oil, one of the most molecularly similar oil to that of human body oil. A non-allergenic/fragrance free cream or corn
starch powder can be used in place of the oil. Some modalities will not require any cream, oil, or powder to be used. |
Q: |
Can I listen to music
during the session? |
A: |
There are a variety of music choices to listen to
during your session at the studio. If you have a music selection you would like to hear at your home, always feel free to play it. |
Q: |
Do you burn incense
during the session? |
A: |
On occasion i will burn a stick of incense, however you can request to have an incense free session. |
 |
Q: |
I can't find a babysitter for my child, Can I bring him/her to the session with me? |
A: |
YES! if you need to bring your child along that is fine, however bring activities for them to do
during your session to keep them attended and quiet. |
Q: |
I have an open cut or rash on my body, can I still get a massage, and will that affect my session? |
A: |
YES! you can still get a massage as "Universal precautions" are followed with every session to ensure the safety of each client as well as the
practitioner. |
Q: |
Should I have a massage if
I just ate? |
A: |
It is
recommended to wait at least 2 hours after eating to get a massage. Reason being, blood from your body is drawn to your stomach for digestion and leaves
a lot less blood in your muscles. |
Q: |
I had a massage in the past and it was
EXTREMELY painful, are you sure this won't happen again? |
A: |
There are MANY people out there who claim to do massage therapy but are not licensed or even trained in massage. I work with each client one on one using only a pressure which you can
tolerate and if right for you. |
Q: |
If I'm on Medication should I let you know? |
A: |
YES! some of the techniques
I use can have adverse affects with certain medications and so you must ALWAYS inform anyone who gives you a massage of any and all medications you are currently taking. |
Q: |
Do you offer massage for Pregnant women? |
A: |
YES!
Pregnancy massage can help to alleviate symptoms associated with lower back discomfort, sciatica, and leg cramps. |
Q: |
What if I get aroused (for men)
during the massage session? |
A: |
According to the
Kinsey Report, the average man gets semi-erect every 20 min. It is completely natural that many men get an erection
during a massage. It is a natural response if you are not use to having your body manipulated in the way of massage. |
Q: |
Is there a "safe release"
during the massage session? |
A: |
There is no "safe
release" offered during the massage session. |
Q: |
Many times when I get massaged I feel like I want to cry. Is that normal? |
A: |
YES, that is very normal. Muscles and connective tissue hold memories and emotions which can sometimes be released through massage therapy and reflexology. |
Q: |
I am very large, will you still be able to massage me? |
A: |
YES! The size of a person should never be a factor of whether or not you can be massaged. The Table I use can hold up to 700LBS Dynamic weight. |
